Electrical equipment operating in an explosive gas atmosphere must be designed to ensure that the equipment does not produce a spark or reach a temperature that ignites flammable gases or vapors. The Rajant ES1–2450IS is an outdoor-rated Kinetic Mesh network device intended for use in Hazardous Locations (HazLoc) with the following regional classifications:
a. ATEX1 – European & IECEx classification: ATEX Zone 1 (gases).
b. C1D1 – North American classification: Class 1, Division 1 (gases).
This high-performance industrial-grade BreadCrumb platform provides secure network connections using multiple frequencies to avoid interference and network congestion. The ES1-2450IS is interoperable with all Rajant BreadCrumb nodes. These nodes are part of Rajant’s initiative to develop deeply integrated solutions that securely combine data from connected people, vehicles, machines, and sensors, with machine learning (ML).
